Player Development

Daring to be Great

“A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.”

-Larry Bird

Off-Season/Pre-Season Skill Development

For those players in the Wayzata Basketball Community looking to improve their skills in the off-season, High School Coach, Bryan Schnettler, has put together some workouts to help you improve your Ball Handling, Perimeter Moves, Post Moves and Shooting.

Most of the following drills can be done at your home court.  A few would have to be modified to work within smaller spaces, or you could work on them while at a regular sized gym or at a local park with full court basketball goals.  Many of the drills are suitable for 2nd grade through high school aged boys to practice.  The younger boys will want to modify the shooting distances per their range, and many of the Post Moves and Two-Ball Dribbling Drills are more for the older or higher skilled boys.
